Equipment Starter Kit

This kit includes what we consider the basic tools needed when starting out beekeeping.

Not included is protective gear, which should be chosen based on your comfort level (whether it be just gloves, a veil, a jacket or a full suit).

Also recommended a queen excluder, but this is not needed until later in the season when the "honey super" is put on.

Included:

-J Hook hive tool. You can get by with just this tool (which we prefer), but some people also get a Standard hive tool. 

-Standard smoker.

-Bee brush.

-Frame grip.

-Frame rest. This is optional but is one of our favorite pieces of equipment, and especially helpful for new beekeepers.

-"The Backyard Beekeeper" book (optional).
