Oak Moss (Evernia prunastri) is a lichen that loves to grow on oak trees. We sustainably harvest it from fallen oak branches in our oak savannas at our Oregon habitat. It has extraordinary fractal properties and it is used by perfume makers and dye makers. It is also used in flower arrangements. We sell it in dry form with some of the bark possibly attached. We package it in 6"x4"x1.5" plastic containers. We find it preserves much better this way, and you can plump it up a little by spraying it with water.
