Drone Comb
Drone Comb
If you want to manage mites without resorting to chemicals, make this part of your integrated pest management program. Varroa mites prefer drone cells because they have a longer brood cycle, which allows the mites to propagate faster. The queen will automatically fill this green foundation with drone eggs, and the mites will concentrate their breeding in these combs. When the comb is fully capped, remove it from the hive (and thereby the mites), then scrape off the drone brood, and the mites along with it.
This is the best drone comb on the market. It is sprayed with two coats of premium beeswax, and it is made right here in the US.
