Winter Hive Insulation Wrap, Fits 10-Frame and 8-Frame Hives

Keep your honey bees well protected this winter  with our Winter Bee Hive Insulation Wrap. Designed to bit both 10-frame and-8 frame, 2 storey honey bee hives, this wrap is an excellent tool for beekeepers looking to protect their colonies from the cold.

Fits a standard 10 frame and 8 frame hive, please see dimensions in picture above. If you have homemade boxes that are larger, or cleats instead of hand holds, this wrap may not fit correctly.

Depending on hive style, you may need to place a nail or screw in the box, just above the entrance, to hold the wrap up enough to allow entrance / exit area for the bees.

This wrap is crafted from durable, weather-resistant materials that stand up to harsh winter conditions, ensuring your bees stay warm and well. The wrap's universal design allows for a snug fit around various hive sizes, providing maximum insulation without compromising the hive's ventilation. The velcro closures make it easy to install and remove, so this wrap is an essential tool for enhancing your bees' chances of surviving the colder months. Please note: while these winter wraps will give your bees a better chance, they can not guarantee the survival of your bee hive through the winter.

The Bee Cozy provides an insulating layer to help minimize heat loss from the hive over the winter.  With this assistance, the bees will consume less feed, and start off stronger in the spring.  The Bee Cozy also acts as a windbreak for windy locations.  

Combine with a Vivaldi Board ™️ with permeable insulation to allow hive moisture build-up to ventilate out,  Also, make sure the hive  lid has overhang to prevent rain from seeping between the Bee Cozy and the top of the hive.  Our Advanced Hive Cover is a great example.
