Our Beekeeping 101 class is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, 12 noon to 4pm.
This class helps new beekeepers prepare for acquiring their bees in 2020 and successfully installing them into their hive. It will cover:
- Basic honeybee anatomy
- Brief background on natural cycles of bees and foraging
- Honeybee social structure (caste system)
- Anatomy of a beehive (Langstroth, topbar and Warre)
- Installing bees
- Managing the first three months
The class will be held at our West Linn location.
