These hives are great to put out as bait hives, but are also a good introductory hive if you want to try out beekeeping but don't want to invest in a complete hive setup yet. An equipment starter kit is also available.
It includes:
-Solid bottom board, made of radiata pine.
-Deep "B grade" box (has knots or a superficial blemish)
-Foundationless deep frames with waxed starter strips. If you want to use this hive with a 5-frame nucleus colony, you can purchase an additional 3-5 deep frames to complete the hive (or use the foundationless frames it comes with).
-Cedar migratory lid (so you don't need an inner cover)
-Entrance reducer
